Marine Cano
Marine Cano is a retired American professional soccer goalkeeper who played in the North American Soccer League, Major Indoor Soccer League, American Soccer League and Western Soccer Alliance. ==Player== Cano attended California State University Dominguez Hills where he received a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. In 1976, Cano signed with the Los Angeles Skyhawks of the American Soccer League. There, he was the backup to Brian Parkinson for the ASL champions. In 1978, he moved to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League. In 1979, he returned to the ASL with the California Sunshine. In 1980, he played for the Cleveland Cobras in the ASL.〔(The Year in American Soccer - 1980 )〕 That fall, he signed with the Cleveland Force in the Major Indoor Soccer League. In 1985, he played for the independent Los Angeles United. In 1986, he moved to the Los Angeles Heat of the Western Soccer Alliance.〔(1986 LA Heat )〕 He played for the Heat as a backup to David Vanole in 1987, then left the league. In 1990, he returned to the Heat, now playing in the American Professional Soccer League.〔(1990 LA Heat )〕 He permanently retired from playing following that season.
